Es gibt doch nichts berauschenderes als eine Probefahrt, oder, da dies ja immerhin ein Magic-Blog ist, ein Deck beim Spielen zu betrachten. Nachdem ich gestern bereits Krzysztof Kieslowskis "Drei Farben: Blau" verpasst habe (wieso muss das ZDF solche Filme auch um 1:50 Uhr senden??), werde ich heute, ein wenig vorbereiteter, wenn auch wieder zu nachtschlafender Stunde, dem zweiten Teil "Drei Farben: Weiss" entgegen fiebern. Der dritte kommt übrigens dann von Freitag auf Samstag.

Da es bis dahin eine Menge Zeit zu überbrücken galt, habe ich mir gedacht, wieso update ich nicht einfach mal mein Apprentice, werfe mir ein Deck zusammen und (ver)treibe im #Magic-League mein Unwesen??

Nachdem keinerlei Einwände an mich herangetragen wurden, das kurze Intermezzo mit der Banane aus der Obstschale da hinten rechts mal außer acht gelassen, habe ich genau das getan und genau das Deck hier gebaut:

Damit dann erstmal gepflegt ein Clerics dreimal verhauen und Gobbos nach einem Screw besiegt, dann wegen Screw verloren und zum Dritten einfach wieder gebashed. Gegen ein RDW schaffte ich ein glohrreiches 1:1 wieder wegen Screw.

Anmerkung:
Wenn ich hier von Screw spreche, dann meine ich den gemeingefährlichen und von allen Spielern gefürchteten "Apprentice-Screw"!! Würde man ein Deck mit 10 Relentless Rats und 50 Sümpfen spielen, bestände in vier von fünf Fällen die Starthand aus fünf Ratten und zwei Sümpfen und den dritten Sumpf zieht man garantiert erst in Runde vier.

Doch zurück zum Deck, das schon Spaß macht, vor allem die Wargear hat es drauf - 7/6 Baloth Turn 4, oder 3/3 Flieger im Lategame - und die Predator's Strike rocken einfach nur. Im Vergleich zu Echoing Courage ist der zusätzliche Punkt schon wichtig und auch das Trample ist nicht zu verachten, wenn man bedenkt, dass die Biester die man so im Deck hat doch eher gesellschaftsfähig sind.

Nur mit den Creeping Mold muss man sich etwas überlegen. Sie sind zwar universaler, zerstören hier mal nen March oder die Anbetung, da mal ein vom Gegner dringend benötigtes Urzatron-Drittel, sind aber zu langsam für Cranials oder Fire Desire. So dass man das SB vollpacken wird mit Tel-Jilad's Justice, Oxidize und natürlich weiteren Hunted Wumpi und dem vierten Plow Under. Als weiteren LD empfiehlt der Mann mit dem geübten Blick und den zittrigen Fingern übrigens Chain of Acid!!

Vor nicht all zu langer Zeit habe ich dem StarCity Kolumnisten Ken Krouner ja eine Frage gestellt, bezüglich dem stetig wachsenden Blogging-Phänomen in der Magic-Welt.

Und gestern kam dann die Antwort. Zwar nicht von KK selbst, sondern eher von Mike Turian, der da folgendes schrieb:

"The blogging phenomenon has swept the Magic universe for sure. In fact, the recent MagicTheGathering.com coverage from US Nationals even saw Brian-David Marshall blogging it up. Instead of dry factual coverage, blog's are great for getting a little flavor into writing."

Der Rest des Geschreibsel hat nicht mehr wirklich was mit dem Thema zu tun, zumal ich nie behauptet habe, dass Mike Turian mein 'favorite author' wäre (den Titel hat Seth Burn intus).

Was mir an der Antwort ein wenig gefehlt hat, war irgendwie alles, weil das Phänomen zusammenfassen, kann ich selbst.

Vielleicht sollte ich es mal mit "Ask Wizards" versuchen...

Während ich ein wenig angepisst bin, dass es anscheinend kein einziges verfluchtes GP Trial für Rimini oder nen lausigen PTQ für Columbus im von mir höher geschätzten, weil bisher noch ungetesteten, Blockformat in meiner erreichbaren Nähe (also quasi das gesamte NRW-Areal) zu geben scheint, lasse ich mich davon nicht zu sehr in meinen positiven Gedanken stören und lausche stattdessen der Kings of Convenience Jukebox.

Ich werde einfach mal am Freitag dem netten Herren vom Auenland auf den Zahn fühlen, oder mal bei Amigo selbst abchecken, wie das da mit den Voraussetzungen aussieht, um so etwas selbst veranstalten zu dürfen.

Platz für knapp 50 Mann lässt sich auftreiben, PC und Internet-Anschluss ist da auch, einzig mit einem Judge kann ich nicht glänzen, aber sowas wird wohl noch unter irgend einem Stein hervorgekrochen kommen...

In mühevollster Kleinstarbeit und mit mehr Spucke und Fleiß, als diesen Seiten hier angedeiht wurde, ging am Wochenende die Informationsbasis für Magic- und Yu-Gi-Oh! (*röchel* *spuck*) aus Oberhausen an den Start.

Die Rede ist vom CD-Shop Oberhausen der eigentlich längst nur noch CDs nebenbei verkauft, sondern lieber dafür sorgt, dass die gelangweilten Kids was zu zocken haben, wenn Muitti sie mal wieder aus dem Haus geprügelt hat.

Verantwortlich für die Magic-Turniere ist euer eigener EvilBernd (der kurz überlegte, sich für das Projekt in "MagicMicha" umzutaufen) und so werde ich dafür sorgen, dass die Turnierdaten immer aktuell und die Deck-Datenbank gut gefüllt ist.

Long time no fucking see...

Aber was soll man machen. Das reale Leben fistet mir genüßlich in den Rektalbereich und zur Zeit steht mehr Arbeit an, als für meinen kleinen geschmeidigen Körper gesund sein kann.

Einzig die Meldung zur temporären Schließung des PlanetMTG brachte meine Mundwinkel in die aufrechte Position.

Okay, ich hätte eigentlich schon viel eher etwas zu dem Thema sagen müssen, immerhin ist es doch meine persönliche "Lieblingsseite", aber mir fiel nix ein. Zumindest nix positives. Und wie Mutti schon früher in uns reingeprügelt hat: "Wenn man nix Positives zu sagen hat, lächelt man und hält die Gosch".

Wieso ich jetzt doch den Mund aufmache?? Mutti ist putzen und ich habe vier bis fünf Minuten unüberwacht vorm heimischen Rechenzentrum, bereit die Welt ein wenig zu verschlechtern, oder mir wenigstens das Maul zu zerreissen.

Dann wollen wir auch direkt mal loslegen, denn wenn alle Welt schon nach Veränderung schreit, dann doch bitte in die richtige Richtung. Deswegen hier, die unzensierten Vorschläge zur Verbesserung der Welt, oder zumindest des Planeten:

• Bringt Ordnung in den Laden. Das Zauberwort heißt hier ganz klar Kategorisierung und die ist nie verkehrt. Streicht die ganzen regionalen Bereiche und bringt sinnvollere Einteilungen nach den jeweiligen Spielleveln und Richtungen. Dies gilt vor allem für die News wie für die Artikel.
• Personalisiert die Seite ein wenig mehr. Mit der entsprechenden Kategorisierung bekommt der User die Möglichkeit den für sich interessanten Content direkt rauszufiltern, so dass er sich nicht mit so störenden Kram, wie den FNM-Ergebnissen vom Shop um die Ecke abgeben muss.
• Macht nicht zuviel auf einmal. Eure Kartensuche ist im Vergleich zu Magiccards.info nicht mal die Bytes wert, die auf dem Server viel besser für TGPs ausgegeben werden könnten. Das schafft neue Ressourcen um TOs zu kontaktieren und so. Was die Userdecks betrifft, verweise ich gerne auf Mercadia.de. Wenn Leute wirklich die 268ste Variante des Fireworks sehen wollen, werden sie da garantiert fündig.
• Als Pointierung des vorherigen Punktes: Konzentriert euch auf eure Kernpunkte. Die Weltherrschaft ist nicht mehr drin, also begnügt euch mit den Bereichen DailyLinks, Szene-News, Turnierdaten (wobei man da auch ja einfach zu Amigo-Spiele hüpfen kann) und schlecht editierte, wie spärliche Artikel.
• Und wo wir schon bei den Artikeln sind, wendet euch an die Jungs die spielen und noch nicht von der Konkurrenz gepudert werden und macht denen ein Angebot, was sie nicht ausschlagen können. Ein Pferdekopf im Bett soll da Wunder wirken...

Last but not least frage ich mich, ob ich der einzige bin der es nicht merkwürdig findet, dass wenn eine Seite, die von drei Leuten betrieben wird (davon einem netten älternden Herren, der kein Magic mehr spielt, einem Techniker der auch schon lange kein Land mehr legte und einem Judge, der wohl mehr Räuber und Gendarm als Magic spielt), denen die Kontakte aus der Szene abwandern, scheinbar plötzlich an Inaktivität eingeht??

Meine Wäsche wäscht sich schließlich auch nicht von selbst, nur weil ich weiß, wo die Waschmaschine steht.
